A Partner in the firm since 1987, Mr. Federman is a graduate of Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY. Previously a Licensed Workers’ Compensation Claimant’s Representative, he obtained his law degree from Touro College, Jacob Fuchsberg Law Center in Huntington, NY and was admitted to practice in 1987. Prior to joining the firm in 1982, he represented the N.Y.S. Insurance Fund in Workers’ Compensation litigation. He is an active member of the Workers’ Compensation Law Division of the Tort, Insurance and Compensation Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. He is a founding Director and current member of the Injured Workers Bar Association of New York. He is also a member of the Plaintiff’s Counsel Section of the Insurance, Negligence and Compensation Law Committee of the Suffolk County Bar Association. He is one of the founders of the Long Island Ad Hoc Committee on Workers’ Compensation and the Long Island Workers’ Compensation Task Force. He has lectured to various business and union groups. He has authored articles on topics in Workers’ Compensation for several publications and has participated in and served as seminar faculty on “Handling Workers’ Compensation Cases in New York.” Mr. Federman lives in Suffolk County. He is blessed with a favorite wife, a favorite daughter, a favorite son-in law, a favorite grandson, a favorite granddaughter and two favorite cats.
